H.E. Mr. Luhut, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment of the Republic of Indonesia, congratulated the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Huayou through video, expressed his sincere thanks for Huayou’s investment in Indonesia and fully recognized Huayou’s implementation of the sustainable development strategy in Indonesia. The Minister pointed out that at the G20 Summit held last month, the two heads of state reached important consensus on jointly building a community of shared future between China and Indonesia and continued to deepening the docking of the "the Belt and Road" Initiative with Indonesia's Global Maritime Fulcrum Strategy to establish a new pattern of high-level cooperation. As an excellent representative of the Chinese funded enterprises, Huayou's investment in Indonesia has fully driven the local economic and social development. Especially that Huayou has completed and operated a large number of major projects in Indonesia in the past year, such as Huayue Project, outlining a strategic blueprint for openness at a high level and promoting high-quality development. At present, Huayou is accelerating the expansion of nickel industry. Huayou and PT Vale started cooperating this year. The two sides have committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and minimizing carbon emissions, which fully highlights that both sides attach importance to the ESG effort. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the founding of Huayou, we look forward to achieving a new level of cooperation between Indonesia and Huayou in the future.

Kim Dong Su, head of Procurement Center of LG Energy Solution Ltd., a South Korean battery maker, said in his speech that Huayou has 20 years of experience in sales of battery. In particular, in recent years, Huayou has gradually expanded its influence on the battery market. As a global leader in producing battery materials, Huayou has the highest level of technology and quality in the field of the metal-ion battery materials and precursors. In order to deepen the our cooperation in terms of recycling, we will also work hard to jointly build an integrated ecological system of battery from metal to battery terminal in Indonesia. By working together, we look forward to deepening global cooperation and becoming a beacon of light to illuminate each other in the future.

"As long as we keep our original aspiration, we are not afraid of any change." Chairman Chen Xuehua extended his warmest welcome and heartfelt thanks to the leaders at all levels, guests and friends from all walks of life in his speech. Speaking of the current development situation of new energy lithium batteries, he said Huayou, as an enterprise in the NEV industry chain, has always maintained an open mind, especially since this year. We have signed a number of cooperation agreements with well-known enterprises at home and abroad, and achieved many cooperation results, thus boosting its high-quality development with a high level of openness.

Over the past 20 years, especially since the "13th Five-year Plan" period and the "14th Five-year Plan" period, Huayou has made great progress, which is partly attributed to opening up. It has gathered industrial consensus, promoted practical cooperation and spread our products to global market with confidence. Meanwhile, Chairman Chen Xuehua also analyzed the challenges in the lithium battery materials industry and proposed to strengthen technical cooperation and build a scientific and technological innovation system of openness and cooperation. We should deepen the joint construction of the industrial park and further promote the development model of two gatherings and two bases"(two gatherings refer to enterprise cluster and project agglomeration and two bases refer to integration-based and park-based). To achieve common development, we need to grow together with customers, suppliers and other partners. Huayou is willing to work with all sectors of society and industry counterparts to strengthen cooperation to promote the certain and stable development of Lithium battery materials and the flourishing of the NEV industry.
